Maintaining your motorcycle/ATV is very important and will save you costly repairs in the future. Williams Lake Honda offers a few tips on keeping your toy in good working order:
- Tires – Check pressure before every ride.
- Brakes – Check for pad wear regularly and replace fluid every one to two years.
- Chains – Oil chain before every ride and make sure chain is properly tensioned.
- Oil – It is VERY important to check oil levels before every ride and to change oil and filter every 6 - 10 hours of ride time.
- Battery – Check fluid levels. Use only distilled or ionized water to top off levels.
- Air Filter – Make sure filter is clean and well sealed before going.

Here are some ATV maintenance tips:
- Tires – Check ALL tire pressures before every ride.
- Cables – Check brake and throttle cables for smooth operation before every start.
- Oil & Filter – Change oil and filter at least once a year.
- Condensation Check – Check motor oil and differential oil for "milky" colour. If so, drain and refill.
- Boots & Bellows – Inspect boots on wheels and the rubber vent bellows, replace if torn.
- Clean – Regularly clean around radiator, engine, and both sides of front brake disks and rear disks.
